Peterhouse Boys

Founders House

Assistant Housemaster – Mr Ronald Ziko

Head of House – Andrew Rinomhota

Founders was completely gutted and refurbished in 2011 and a separate Common Room was built between the House and the Housemaster’s house.  Since its original construction the House has had many modifications made to it.  Founders has a pool table,  a table tennis table, wide screen television set, new curtains and the chairs have been reupholstered and bean bags added.

Named and dedicated to all the people who helped in the creation of the Group of Schools, Founders opened as a full House of 61 boys on the 27th of January 1959 with Mr N A Davis, as House-Master (1959-1963), Mr D M Howarth as House Tutor and Mr J W Greenacre and Rev. Mackay as Residents.
Mr. Greenacre is still part of the school; he helps run the school bank and is in charge of the Petrean Society and Olympiad Maths.

Trevor L.C Mushiko has been Housemaster of Founders House since January 2003.

Trevor joined Peterhouse in January 2000 after heading the French Department and being Housemaster of one of the Day Scholar Houses at Allan Wilson High School in Harare. Prior to that he taught Maths at Gifford High School, and French and Maths at Townsend High School both in Bulawayo.

Shortly after he joined Peterhouse, Trevor was appointed Senior Master (Pupils), a role which sees him in charge of discipline. He has also been Head of the French Department and he continues to teach French up to A Level. Trevor has also coached cricket and rugby where he holds the record for the coach with the least losses. He is currently Master in Charge of Golf.

Trevor majored in French and Mathematics at Hillside Teachers’ College in Bulawayo before completing his French studies at the Université de Poitiers in France.

Trevor is married to Samantha, a Marketing Graduate who is employed by the local branch of an international mobile networks company.
